Korrie Besems (NL, 1961) has been active in photography and text-based art since 1984. Her work has transitioned from documentary photo series, often exploring urban landscapes, to autonomous photo-text combinations in her recent projects.

She is also a base tutor Artificial Facts & Intelligent Fiction at BEAR, ArtEZ, University of the Arts, Arnhem.
As a curator, Korrie Besems has curated several groupexhibitions such as GEEN DADEN MAAR WOORDEN which was shown in Omstand in June-July 2021 and ONONDERBROKEN that was shown in De Bouwput in February 2023.

Her neon artwork REBUS from 1991 is located on a new spot in the city centre of Utrecht. The artwork has been completely restored in 2021. More info here, here and here.
